Univention Corporate Server (UCS) is the innovative basis for the cost-efficient operation and easy administration of server applications and entire IT infrastructures. The integrated identity and infrastructure management system makes it easy to administrate applications, users and resources. Server and desktop solutions can be administrated centrally and across different locations and platforms via an easy-to-use web interface.

Thanks to its standardized interfaces, UCS can be integrated easily into existing environments. The integrated App Center offers a multitude of enterprise solutions, which can be run or operated virtually with just a few clicks. Extensive Active Directory functions allow integration in Microsoft Windows environments or their replacement.

Commissioning UCS couldn’t be easier

UCS can be installed as an ISO or virtual machine image or started in the cloud. A graphic wizard makes installing UCS and joining existing domains particularly easy. UCS is then immediately ready for use.

Easy and centralised administration of domains with UCS

UCS is administrated via the Univention Management Console (UMC). This graphic web interface forms the single point of administration for the entire IT infrastructure and all the servers in the domain. All the functions of UCS such as identity and infrastructure management, the administration of virtualized servers, system settings for servers, clients and desktops and the installation of third-party solutions are effected via the UMC.

App Center

Univention App Center and Univention Apps

The Univention App Center is the platform for the installation and administration of business applications in a UCS domain. After installation, all the apps are preconfigured ready for use and integrated in the existing IT infrastructure. The centralized UCS management system renders manual maintenance of user information and rights in the apps unnecessary. Update mechanisms ensure that all running apps are completely up to date. In addition, all the applications are also available prepackaged as ready-to-use Univention apps for all popular virtual environments.
